About the Brand
Founded in 1812, Laurent-Perrier is recognised – throughout the world – as one of the finest of Champagne Houses. This success derives, first and foremost, from a clear determination to abide by long-established traditions: respect for nature and wine, dedication to quality, and a strong and lasting relationships with all those associated with the company. It is also result of family’s drive, led by Bernard de Nonancourt, to maintain the House’s independence and values.
Do you know?
- True Champagne comes from only one region, also called Champagne, about 150 km northeast of Paris.
- All Champagnes are blends of thirty to sixty separate still wines.
- Most Champagne produced is golden in colour and made from all three Champagne grapes, from which only one is white – Chardonnay, other two are black – Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
- Legend has it that Marilyn Monroe once took a bath in 350 bottles of Champagne. According to her biographer George Barris, she drank and breathed Champagne as if it was oxygen.
