The demand for gin in the eighteenth century was largely a London phenomenon. Distilling was not a common trade, and although gin was a popular drink, the vast bulk was made and consumed in and around London.
The production of Greenall’s Gin is almost identical today as it was over 200 years ago when Thomas Dakin set up his first still.
For perfect Gin&Tonic fill approximately two-thirds of a highball glass with ice cubes. Add the 1 part of gin and 3 parts of tonic and stir. Serve with a wedge of lime rather then lemon as there is enough lemon already in the recipe!
